Mobile Payments and the Future of M-commerce
Join an industry analysis of mobile financial services as they are today and a vision for the future. With mobile payment systems advancing what does that mean for the consumers and providers?
What are the forces at work in defining the competitive landscape?
What applications will win with consumers and who stands to benefit?

Join us for a discussion led by two panelists who are helping to define the landscape of mobile commerce:

George Fasching, Product Leader at the Mobile/Wireless Centre of Excellence in Master-Card. Georg is based in London and drives the innovation and development of payment related services via mobile/wireless means. Products like MasterCard PayPass and Master-Card rePower are some of the results. He has almost a decade of in-depth experience in the mobile telephony services industry.

Kevin Bailey, is a member of Motorola’s Corporate Technology Office CTO Incubator Group. For the past few years, he has been focused on defining and delivering M-commerce solutions. The technology incubator is a team of multi-disciplined, experienced professionals directed towards recognizing opportunities for growth from ideas and technologies generated within Motorola. Each project run out of the incubator group is much like a start up company and is provided with the leadership, resources, and capital to advance the technology and its connected eco-system to a position that can be graduated into a new or existing business.

Mobile Monday Chicago

MobileMonday is a community of mobile professionals. The open community promotes the mobile industry and fosters cooperation and networking among industry people and their companies by providing opportunities for personal and virtual contacts. MobileMonday’s main activities are the community’s face-to-face gatherings on every third Monday of the month (Chicago version) and virtual networking through the use of the Blog and mailing-group. MobileMonday has the following global objectives: * To encourage innovation within the mobile sector. * To facilitate networking between small and large companies, and between local and foreign organizations. * To help local companies effectively participate in international initiatives through the import and export of visions, concepts, technologies, know-how and best practices. * To present innovative visions, trends, studies and forecasts from the mobile marketplace. * To facilitate and create partnerships. * To contribute to the education of the broader public through its publications, online presence, and media partnerships. MobileMonday is organized by a group of some 200+ dedicated volunteers from around the world. Originating in Helsinki, Finland, in the year 2000, MobileMonday has grown into the world’s leading mobile community.
